5 Ways To Feel More Grounded While You Wait For Therapy
Simple, practical strategies you can start using today to feel calmer, more grounded and more supported while you wait.
Waiting Doesn't Mean Standing Still.
Waiting for therapy can feel frustrating.
You know you need support, but the help you need may still feel a long way off.
But waiting doesn't mean putting your wellbeing on hold.
There are things you can do now to better understand yourself, build resilience, strengthen your emotional wellbeing and feel more supported.
That's why I created The Support Space.
To help people access support, connection and practical tools while they wait.

About Sharlene
Sharlene Perris
Hi, I'm Sharlene Perris, a qualified counsellor with a master's degree and founder of The Support Space.
Over the years, I've worked with many people who understood why they felt stuck but still found it difficult to create lasting change.
That curiosity led me to explore approaches that work not only with conscious understanding but also with the subconscious beliefs and patterns that can keep us repeating the same experiences.
Alongside counselling, I have trained in breathwork and Belief Coding, allowing me to support people in ways that connect insight with meaningful change.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth and compassionate. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to understand themselves differently, reconnect with their strengths and create new possibilities for their future.
Whether you're waiting for therapy, feeling stuck in a pattern you can't explain, or simply needing support right now, my aim is to help you feel seen, supported and empowered.
