If this sounds familiar

Maybe you're feeling something like this.

Your mind won't switch off
You feel overwhelmed but can't explain why
You're on a waiting list and struggling alone
You're trying to hold it all together
You don't feel like yourself anymore
You know you need support but don't know where to start

“You're not the problem. You've just been left without the right support.”

What This Is

A calm, supportive space designed for right now.

The Support Space was created for people who are waiting for therapy, struggling to access help, or simply need somewhere to feel steadier and less alone.

It's not a replacement for therapy. It's what holds you while you wait — gentle guidance, practical tools, and the quiet reassurance that someone understands what you're going through.

Created by Sharlene Perris, a qualified counsellor with a master's degree, this space is grounded in real clinical knowledge and delivered with warmth, care, and humanity.

How This Is Different

This isn't just information.

Guided, not generic

You're not left to figure things out alone. You receive real guidance from someone who understands what you're going through — not just links to articles.

Supportive, not overwhelming

Everything is designed to feel simple and manageable. No long programmes, no pressure. Just what you need, when you need it.

Safe and human

Created by a qualified counsellor who genuinely cares. This space is grounded in clinical knowledge but delivered with warmth, empathy, and understanding.

About Sharlene

Someone who understands what you're going through.

I'm Sharlene Perris — a qualified counsellor with a master's degree and a deep understanding of what it feels like to need support and not be able to access it.

I created The Support Space because I believe no one should have to struggle in silence while they wait for therapy. The gap between reaching out and getting help can feel impossibly long — and that's exactly where this space sits.

My approach is grounded in clinical expertise but led by warmth, empathy, and a genuine belief that you deserve to feel supported right now — not just when a space opens up.

If you're looking for counselling and don't want to wait, I'd encourage you to search the BACP therapist directory — taking that step matters, and you deserve support sooner.
